How to Procrastinate

Procrastinating is terribly easy.  I’m pretty sure every writer knows that. Here are three ways that you can procrastinate, in case you have no idea how.

1. Pinterest

Pinterest is both very helpful and very not-helpful.

For instance, I find myself looking for a character picture one minute…. and then the next, I’m looking at Hunger Games memes.

If you want to procrastinate on Pinterest, one easy way to do that is look up recipes. *mouth waters* DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY RECIPES THERE ARE ON PINTEREST??

Seriously, if you’re hungry, just look up something on Pinterest and I guarantee that you’ll find *something*.

However, if you don’t want to procrastinate on Pinterest, set yourself a timer and once that time is up, get off of there. NO ADDING MORE TIME.

2. Food

Food is another easy way to procrastinate. Have something you need to do but don’t want to? A very simple way to get out of it is saying “I’ll have a snack first”.

And then that snack turns into a four-course meal. Especially if you use Pinterest.

AND DO YOU KNOW WHAT JUST HAPPENED.

I WASTED TEN MINUTES ON PINTEREST TRYING THAT OUT. *facedesk*

See how easy procrastinating is?

Maybe I should follow my own advice.

3. Reading

Reading, while one of the best things in the world, is dangerous.

If you’re a reader, you know how it is. You pick up a book and read for hours at a time and then when you finish it’s past your bedtime or you’ve been reading the whole morning.

However, there is a very simple solution to this problem.

Multi-task!

Ricky Ricardo was the boss of multi-tasking. Any I Love Lucy fans remember how he attached his newspaper to the vacuum (I can’t spell that) cleaner?

That’s how you do it. Attach your book to the mirror while you clean the bathroom, to the wall when you clean your room, and voila!

Okay, so maybeeeee that’s not the best idea in the universe.

You probably shouldn’t take my advice, it hasn’t been tested.

  1. This is pure amazingness. XD I like to call myself the Queen of Procrastination because I’ll be writing, and after an hour I’ll realize I wrote only five words and beat my high score at crossy roads or watched several episodes of Studio C. XD So, since I have the title of Queen of Procrastination, I hereby dub thee Master of Procrastination. XD
